Protest at IISc over holding India-Israel Business Summit amid ongoing genocide in Palestine
Students staged a protest at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru against the India-Israel Business Summit, organized by the Indian Chamber of International Business, Think India, and the Mysore Lancers Heritage Foundation. The demonstrators expressed their opposition to the summit in light of the ongoing violence in Palestine and Lebanon. They criticized IISc for leasing its auditorium for the event.

Students at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, protested against the invitation of Gilad Segev, an Israeli business advisor, as the guest of honor. Although the event was kept under wraps to minimize attention, students discovered the plan and protested, highlighting the profit-driven motives and the management’s indifference to Israel’s ongoing actions in Gaza. The guest was found to be absent after the backlash.
Mass protest in Lucknow university over the suspension of BHU students
Students held a protest at Lucknow University in response to the suspension of 13 students at Banaras Hindu University. These students were suspended for participating in a demonstration calling for justice for the survivor of the IIT-BHU gang rape. The demands are that the suspensions be revoked, that immediate justice be provided to the survivor, and that the perpetrators be held accountable, regardless of their political affiliations.
Students from RGNUL protest to demand the resignation of the Vice Chancellor
Students at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala protested, demanding Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jai Shankar Singh’s resignation, alleging that he violated female students’ privacy during an “unannounced, surprise inspection” of the girls’ hostel on September 22. A committee was formed to mediate, but was faced with immediate backlash from the students as they raised concerns about the members having previous ties to the Vice-Chancellor. Students started a hunger strike demanding his resignation.
